The professionals of Jánosik és Társai Kft. work on the insulation of almost 100 square meters’ wall surface in the Hall of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in Miskolc. They will stop the water leakage existing for a long time in the basement – said Lajos Jánosik owner.
They won the work in an open public procurement tender. It was great help in the success of the tender that the company had references of similar tasks performed. The ancient monument building established in 1896 can be found in the heart of the city, in a frequently visited area. The building was continuously operating during the insulation of the basement; they had to ensure smooth work performance of the employees working there. The earlier plaster was removed from the internal wall of the basement. Simultaneously, they carefully performed external investigation as well. The walls were dried out and the subsequent waterproofing was solved by means of special injection method.
They prevented further water leakage through the installation of insulating plates. In order to drain the moisture possibly produced in the future, drain pipes were laid down and pump was installed by which the liquid is discharged into the rainwater canal. Each day ten persons work on the insulation in order to finish it within the narrow date of a quarter. They plan to hand over the project in September.
